Stickers FAQ
What type of glue is used?
The glue used on HOMESTICKERS for furniture and household electrical units is an acrylic-based glue; the glue used on HOMESTICKERS for walls is a rubberbased
glue.
Why are HOMESTICKERS for walls printed on paper? What are the advantages?
Nouvelles Images is an eco-responsible company.
As such, it has chosen to print HOMESTICKERS on paper as, once glued, it may be recovered for energy production.
In other words, unlike vinyl, it may be used to produce energy without gas or toxic substance emissions.
Due to its thickness, the paper sticker is very easy to affix and may be used to hide certain imperfections in the surface (wall, etc.).
Why are HOMESTICKERS for furniture and household electrical units printed on polypropylene? What are the advantages?
Glued polypropylene can also be recovered for energy production.
Also, the fact that these stickers are going to be placed in a kitchen or bathroom means that they need to be made of a material that is grease and moisture resistant and easy to wash.
How can I stop air bubbles from appearing when I affix the stickers?
Place the pattern carefully and press it down lightly with a soft cloth, starting from the centre of each pattern and moving outwards.
When you are sure there are no more bubbles, press down firmly with the soft cloth.
Some air bubbles appeared while I was affixing the sticker. What do I do?
These are air bubbles that became trapped under the sticker while you were affixing it.
Use a soft cloth to get rid of them, starting from the centre of each pattern and moving outwards.
If bubbles persist, pierce them carefully with a needle and get rid of the air by pressing hard with a soft cloth.
Why won’t my sticker stick?
As we saw above, the choice of surface is very important, as is its condition (smooth, clean and dry).
That’s why we recommend that, if you have any doubts, you should carry out a test on a piece of sticker sheet on which there is no pattern.
How do I clean my HOMESTICKERS?
As HOMESTICKERS for walls are made of paper, they are not washable.
To clean them, dry-wipe them with a nonabrasive material (cloth…).
HOMESTICKERS for furniture and household electrical units are produced on a moisture-resistant polypropylene film and may be cleaned with a soft, damp sponge.
Do not use abrasive products or materials. Dry with a soft cloth.
How do I store my HOMESTICKERS?
To get the best use out of them, HOMESTICKERS may be kept for up to 6 months prior to use, as long as they are kept in their packaging, in a dry place away from light.
Avoid extreme changes in temperature.
