Sisley Exhibition

From 13 September 2011 to 29 January 2012, the Von der Heydt Museum is presenting an exhibition dedicated to Alfred Sisley, the first retrospective dedicated to the painter organized in Germany.
The Von der Heydt Museum is considered to be one of Germany’s best Expressionist collections.
The museum is continuing its focus on the Barbizon School: after Renoir, Monet and Bonnard in previous years, it is Alfred Sisley’s turn to be in the spotlight in 2011.
The exhibition highlights Sisley’s favourite subjects: rivers, landscapes, the banks of the Seine and the Loing, the church at Moret, etc.
