Édouard Boubat (1923 –1999)

A humanist photographer, after the end of the Second World War, this great traveller went out to illustrate the beauty of life, with particular affection for photos of Paris. He was a warm-hearted photographer, “a peace correspondent”
as Jacques Prévert used to say of him.

Robert Doisneau (1912 –1994)

He is one of the best-known French photographers in the world, mainly due to his photos of Paris. He is constantly on the look-out for a story. His photos often have a touch of humour, but are also full of nostalgia, irony and tenderness.

Willy Ronis (1910 –2009)

The black and white photos taken by this great figure of 20th Century photography were captured on the spot and are highly poetic. This humanist
photographer spent much of his working life in the streets of Paris, his home town, captivated by people and their daily lives.
