Henri Cartier-Bresson retrospective in Zürich

Henri CARTIER-BRESSON, Hyères, France, 1932

From 8 April to 27 July 2011, a retrospective is being dedicated to the photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson at the Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich, where the public can see nearly 300 photos and a few films, including those that date back to the Spanish Civil War, in favour of the Republicans.

Photographs taken in the United States, Asia and Switzerland are shown alongside those taken for the Magnum agency: the Museum für Gestaltung offers us a substantial, very complete exhibition.

From 1974, the photographer set aside photography and worked on his drawing, and the public can see some of the drawings done by Cartier-Bresson.
