Hélène Druvert
“I’m inspired by interpreting what’s around me, and mixing and combining various elements. I have a great partnership with Nouvelles Images, based on an exchange of ideas”, says Hélène Druvert.
Biography
Hélène Druvert was born in Brittany in 1981. Having studied fabric design at the Duperré School of Applied Arts, she works as a fabric designer for household linen, children’s fashions and illustration.
Fabric patterns, travel diaries and the world of childhood are the main sources of inspiration for her poetic, dreamlike world. She likes to mix graphical styles such as sketches, collages and painting and to update and reinterpret old fabrics.
Among other influences, she enjoys the world of Niki de Saint Phalle, Robert le héros, Tsumori Chisato and Tricia Guild.
She lives and works between Paris and the Basque Country, a region that she has fallen in love with, and which may be found in her designs.
Works
In addition to the cards, prints, stickers, canvases and paintings published by Nouvelles Images, Hélène Druvert has designed a collection of table linen for the manufacturer Tissage Moutet.
