Our Artists
Catherine Beyler
A photographer who likes pretty things, Catherine Beyler welcomes us to her elegant, poetic world.
Biography
Catherine Beyler was born in Paris and now lives in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire, where she works as a freelance artist-author.
Having trained at the Duperré School of Applied Art and ESAG Penninghen in Paris, she produced designs between 1977 and 2005 for well-known advertisers: Christian Dior Perfumes, “Votre Beauté” Magazine, Ministry of Tourism, Lascaux II, Vesunna, Atos Origin, Schlumberger, Gemalto, Euriware,...
At the same time, Catherine Beyler began a fruitful partnership with Nouvelles Images, producing cards and prints in soft colours. She describes the partnership as “a lovely encounter that encourages shared emotion”.
Although Catherine takes her inspiration from the works of artists such as Andrée Putman, Hans Feurer and Peter Lindbergh, whose talent she appreciates, the quote that best sums her up, she says, is the one by Claude Roy: “I had an idea. I’d love to know where it came from”.
Catherine Beyler is planning to complete a series of special photographic reports with a social bias. A new adventure that we’ll be following with interest…
